CFB/NFL Work Pool Picks — Week 2

(5-5-0) Overall (1-2-0) Highlight Picks

Ahhhhh, we return for for Week 2 of work picks. Some would say going 5-5 isn’t anything to scoff at, but I’m a glass half full kinda guy and this is my first time recording picks so I am feeling good for this week. So here it is offical record us (5-5-0) and my highlighted picks are (1-2-0). (not so good, Utah fucked me, kinda ironic).

Quick recap:

#11 Oregon +17.5 vs. #3 Georgia — Hand up, I had no idea a division 1 CFB team would actually start Bo Nix this season. What a joke, he was terrible, and Georgia was unstoppable. Big ole L.

#19 Arkansas -5.5 vs. #23 Cincinnati — Felt so good about this pick, going on the road against an SEC opponent in Week 1 is tough. Give credit to Cincy though, not as fraudulent as I thought. W.

#7 Utah -2.5 vs. Florida — I guess it’s true what they say, it’s hard to play an SEC opponent Week 1. Utah was in this one the whole game, couldn’t clutch up with the game almost in hand. Tough L.

Like I explained in the 1st renditon of Work Pool Picks, we are betting on NFL and CFB. Here are the 2nd Week Picks:

Here’s my 3 highlight picks:

#6 Texas A&M -17.5 vs. App. State

While Texas A&M’s offense looked sluggish against an underwhelming Sam Houston State defense, the defense looked like it did last year and was dominant. I have faith that the Ags will figure it out on offense with week 1 under their belt. Aggies are at home, and we’re benefitting from a slow start from the Ags last week. Give me -17.5 over App State.

Phillidelphia Eagles -3.5 vs. Detroit Lions

What a beautiful thing to see, our first NFL Highlight Pick. I love this line, 3.5 seems way too low in my opinion. Here are my thoughts, the Lions will probably be a slightly improved team over last year, but I think we can say the same for the Eagles under Nick Sirianni. I think Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense go nuclear in a convincing win IN Detroit. Love the Eagles by 4 here.

Green Bay Packers -1.5 vs. Minnesota Vikings

Admittedly, this is the pick I am least confident in. The NFC North is so unpredictable, but Aaron Rodgers and the Packers with a 1.5 next to their name is always enticing for me. I do think the Vikings offense is a little better this year, but still see the Packers winning by AT LEAST 3. Pack with the points, -1.5.

Here. We. Go. Another week of CFB and the 1st week of NFL football. The most wonderful time of the year has officially begun. Let’s go 10-0 this week.
